A group of social anthropologists and experts in sociolinguistics went into different sports clubs to research the position of the Basque language. They focused on language ideology, practices and experiences, seeking the keys to making clubs into a safe space for young Basque speakers.

Euskara Kirolkid specifically has a direct connection with the project called “Processes of sociolinguistic transformation in the Basque context: speakers, practices and agency ( EquiLing-Basq )”, and this website was created under its protection (REF.: PID2019-105676RB-C42 / AEI / 10.13039/501100011033).
